We’ll normally have a Vegetarian option on most of our menus and our Chef will be more than happy to create freshly prepared dishes to meet the needs of most other dietary requirements.  However, in order to allow us to source the freshest ingredients, please call to give us at least 24 hours prior notice.

Whilst we do not have separate kitchens for individual dietary requirements, we do our best to separate foods from differing dietary regimes.

Notes on our Cheeses

Helford Blue is a delightfully squishy soft blue cheese with a distinctive greyish blue mould Rind, made with pasteurised milk.

Cornish Yarg was first made by Alan & Jenny Gray in Withiel near Liskard on the edge of Bodmin Moor, the name Yarg is Gray backwards! This is an award winning semi-hard cheese, which is wrapped in nettles from a neighbouring wood. The cheese is creamy under the rind and crumbly at the core. It has a young, fresh tangy taste and is made by hand in open round vats.

Sharpham Brie is a soft cheese made from Jersey milk, luxurious rich yet delicate and a lovely clotted cream like texture, complex too, with a hint of acidity and a whisp of mushrooms, it is a delicious cheese.

Wookey Hole is a deliciously moist, creamy nutty and tangy, made deep in the caves and the high humidity is ideal to stop the cheese drying out during its maturation storage. The cheese takes some of it’s flavour from the production process and some from the surroundings it’s stored in.
