COMMIS/CHEF DE PARTIE

Award winning country pub with rooms requires a commis/chef de partie, to work side by side the Head Chef. All fresh food looking to be the best in the area.

Level 2 Food Hygiene required good knowledge of cooking required. We’re a friendly working environment, passion & drive is a must. Brand new fully fitted kitchen, brand new opening. This is an ideal position to learn and be a part of a growing kitchen team. Due to our rural location driving is a plus.

The Tradesmans Arms, is a 14th Century grade 2 listed thatched pub and restaurant in the picturesque village of Stokenham, Devon. After a devastating fire in 2021 the pub has been completely rebuilt back to its former glory. A small but busy pub with bar area, restaurant seating from 40 – 60 covers, 3 Luxury B & B rooms/suite. We also have a large outdoor decked and patio areas which are packed in the summer months and benefit from a great local following and all year-round custom.

THE ROLE

  • Have a passion for locally sourced, fresh, seasonal produce and enjoy working alongside the Head Chef and supporting the KP.

  • Previous experience essential in a Commis/Chef de Partie role.
  • A keen learner with a good knowledge of produce and a range of Dishes.
  • Communicate and work well with the front of house team.
  • You will need to maintain good relationships suppliers.
  • You will assist the head Chef with menu planning, costing/GP%, purchasing, stock control/rotation, health & safety procedures.

Package includes:

  • Salary of £24,000 – £26,000 per year (Depending on experience)

  • Weekend availability, Full-time – 5 days a week, 8hr shift, Holiday Pay & Tips
