After a devastating fire in 2021 the pub has been completely rebuilt back to its former glory and to a very high standard. We have a brand new fully fitted kitchen with new appliances, separate pot wash area and cellar. We are a small but busy pub with bar and restaurant seating for 40+ covers and 3 Luxury B & B rooms. The pub has a great local following and benefits from all year-round custom. If you would like to be part of a great team then we would love to hear from you, our current vacancies are listed below.

HEAD chef

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to join our team.

The Role:

  • Previous pub and restaurant experience would be essential, as either a Sous Chef wanting to take the next step or as an existing Head Chef.
  • You must have a passion for locally sourced, fresh, seasonal produce and enjoy working as a leader of a small kitchen team.
  • Communicate and work well with the front of house team to ensure a great level of service.
  • You will need to maintain good and lasting relationships with our current and possibly new suppliers to ensure we have the best produce at the best price.
  • Have a good understanding of what it takes to run a kitchen in a friendly and professional manner, encouraging the best from your team.
  • You will be responsible for menu planning, costing/GP%, purchasing, stock control/rotation, health & safety procedures, and further training of your kitchen crew to build and maintain a great team.

 
Package includes:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Full time – 5 days a week 
  • Monday and Tuesdays off

Chef de Partie

We also have an exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join our team.

The Role:

  • A good understanding of the day to day running of a kitchen.
  • You must have a passion for locally sourced, fresh, seasonal produce and enjoy working under instruction from the Head Chef and supporting the KP.
  • A keen learner with a good knowledge of produce and a range of dishes.
  • You will assist the Head Chef with menu planning.
